A full-day and overnight road
The timetable record has one direct Marrakech–Merzouga service: 08:00 to 20:30. It takes about 12 hours 30 minutes on the checked date.
The route is substantially different from a short intercity coach. You leave Marrakech after lunch, spend the evening and night on the road, and arrive in the desert region early in the morning. The route layer connects the southeastern corridor through places such as Ouarzazate and Tinghir, but the ticket and timetable for the selected service should be treated as the thing that controls your plan.
What to plan around
Arrange the first part of your Merzouga arrival before boarding: accommodation pickup, a local transfer, or a clear meeting point. An early coach arrival can be useful, but it is not the same as arriving at a hotel check-in time. This is also not a route I would schedule immediately before a desert excursion.
